Call of Duty 7 This Holiday 2010

I’m pretty sure you haven’t even gotten all the medals and unlockables for Modern Warfare 2 and already Activision’s CEO Bobby Kotick is announcing the new Call of Duty. Not much info was given out other than they’re on track to release their next game in the franchise this holiday, but they did speak about their interest in moving the company to subscriptions based gaming.
Kotick had this to say:
“If you think about the success we have had in other categories on subscriptions, you can get a sense of the direction we want to take the franchise.”
If that means what I think it means then I’m not sure it’s such a good move, the Call of Duty is a great series but good enough to hold it’s own and make you pay to play?
