Fallout 3 Rewards You for Pulverizing Women says Bob Waliszewski

The Every Day Christian web site has released its rating on several videogames. Critic Bob Waliszewski’s gave his opinion hoping to help parents monitor the games that their little kids play. Each videogame is reviewed and rated to inform the parents as to which games are safe for children. This site prides itself as being God-fearing.

It is weird that war-themed videogames have received Waliszewski’s endorsement as safe for children. He has given Empire:Total War and Ton Clancy’s H.A.W.X. a general patronage rating. It seems that he bases his rating on the presence or the absence of spilled blood. If the game does not include the virtual red liquid on screen then it passes Waliszewski standard. So his approval of Wii Music and LittleBigPlanet and rejection of Grand Theft Auto comes as no surprise.

Bob lambasts Chinatown Wars for exposing children to graphic scenes of hearts getting frayed all over the screen, the crash course on the “benefits” of using drugs and it’s never ending bad ass language. The grandest review that Bob gives however is the one for Fallout 3. He says that it glorifies the “show no mercy” attitude including pulverizing women, the wiping out cities from the maps with nuclear weapons and even cannibalism. He completely misses out on the options for saving such cities from annihilation.

What’s really funny is that it takes on an aura of being a sort of an idiot parent’s guide to reviewing games for children. Idiotic as in a literal moron fashion. Like hello! Aren’t the titles Resident Evil and MadWorld enough to tell the parents that they’re not fit for kids. Are parents really as lame as how Bob puts them out to be?
