Exclusives dead?

I was wondering about this topic not too long ago. Giving it some thought, I could say that for the major consoles, from major developers, quite possibly, minus first parties and nintendo. Though, is it really? What about the small games that come out for the aracades of xbox and the games that are announced for the psn? The smaller less advertised games that only see a digital download and possibly a digital exposure? Is this where the exclusives have gone to? For instances
Cuboid, the newly announced PSN game that apparently is coming exclusive to sony’s little(big)platform.

Also the Pixel Junk games tend to only be released PSN only.
As the smaller games seem to be tending more and more gamers and becoming more and more popular, will future developed downloadable games predict more of a reason to own a certain console?
