Wii Rock Band 2 DLC Expected Early 2009

We can trace this DLC content all the way back through to September when it was originally promised, downloadable tracks for Rock Band 2 Wii edition. In a new post on the game’s official forum, harmonix assures the DLCÂ is coming soon.
“The downloadable content is in the final testing stages and Harmonix is working as fast as possible to deliver the 20 free bonus songs for Rock Band 2, plus an additional 30 songs from the Rock Band DLC Catalog to fans as early in 2009 as possible,” the post reads. “As soon as we can announce a firm date, you can be sure the Rock Band community will be the first to know.”
The details of the songs to be released are minimal, but hopefully this time they will be released on time.

With the competition between Rock Band and Guitar Hero.. It makes one wonder..
When I look at the boxes at the store, they don’t mention Rock Band’s DLC getting pushed.. In fact, the boxes say “available Holiday Season, 2008.”
How many more people would have bought Guitar Hero if Rock Band’s game boxes had stated the correct information????
