Fable II gets DLC: island with 3 quests and loot…also snow.

Yep, that right new DLC for fable II and not a moment too soon. As you know, if you read my review on the game, I found it rather shallow. That’s not to say it wont keep a few of you whippersnappers busy for a while but it wasn’t enough for those who play games hard and fast (you know what I’m talking bout!).

Knothole Island is the name of a crazy island with tons of mysteries and all that stuff you wish the retail game had. The island is home to these ancient artifacts that can control the weather so its rather safe to say that you’ll be seeing deserts, forests and snow at the very least. It’s also got some guys in there who make weapons like the “Incredible” flying lute axe. To say the least it seems like the DLC is packing even more joke items then the game already had. It’s gonna add a whole bunch of stuff for the price of 800 Microsoft rupees on a date that can only be described as “Coming Soon”. It’s a good amount of stuff but is still kinda lame that its just 3 quests. Just check out all these goodies!

Key Features:

  • Embark on 3 unique quests set in 3 unique dungeons.
  • Unravel the mystical secrets of the resurrection shrine.
  • Try on a whole new range of outfits and look like an armored knight, an assassin, a barbarian or a leather-clad biker, among many others.
  • Brandish 6 new weapons.
  • Dozens of unique potions that will drastically alter your appearance.
  • Customize your weapons the way you want with the new augment tool and a whole new array of augments.
  • +50 additional leaderboards.

Not too shabby for the price huh? I’m liking the snow screen they released with the announcement. There was nearly no snow in the game but it looked fantastic and i always thought that was such a waste of effort on their part to not use. also all the new stuff seems nice, like the gear and weapons. I only hope that they are decent looking as opposed to everything else the game had originally.
