Hardware Review: Razer Krait Gaming Mouse

One of the first things you will notice about this mouse is its design! It is pure eye candy it has a cool orange glow that is freaking sweet. (your gaming late at night and your mom passes by and is wondering why your hand is glowing orange so she does not interrupt your gaming time because she knows your serious!). But let’s get to the real deal about this mouse let’s take a look at the specs!

The orange mouse that could?

- 1200 actions per minute

- 1600dpi Razer Precision™ infrared sensor

- On-The-Fly Sensitivity™ adjustment

- Always-On™ mode

- Ultra-large non-slip buttons

- 6400 frames per second (5.8 megapixels per second)

- 16-bit ultra-wide data path

- Up to 40 inches per second and 15g of acceleration

- Zero-acoustic Ultraslick™ Teflon feet

- Gold-plated USB connector

- Seven-foot, lightweight, non-tangle cord

- Approximate size: 120mm (length) x 60.5mm (width) x 37mm (height)

Ok well… now let’s cut the middle man because I’m sure most people don’t care about its “Egronomic Ambidextrous Design” as a spec.

- 1200 actions per minute

- 1600dpi Razer Precision™ infrared sensor

- Always-On™ mode

- Gold-plated USB connector

- Approximate size: 120mm (length) x 60.5mm (width) x 37mm (height)

Well this is a lot better to work with now let’s start!

1200 actions Per Minute

Ok… well if you play a game were you need to click 20 times per second then I would heavily Recommend this mouse to you… if not let’s just move on.

1600 DPI Razer Precision Infrared Sensor

Well let’s start off what is DPI? Dots per inch (DPI) is a measure of spatial printing or video dot density, in particular the number of individual dots that can be placed within the span of one linear inch . It’s neat that is has that much DPI but don’t make it a big deal if you would like to buy this mouse it’s not that big of a deal.

Always-On Mode

prevents the optical engines from shutting down from not using it… so basically making it so that you won’t feel the lag when you’re about to use the mouse to move.

Gold plated USB Connector

Hey if hard times come pawn it!!! Just kidding… *crickets* ok but seriously it’s for better performance and its one of those little extra features I personally like.

Conclusion

This mouse is your basic mouse it has 3 buttons it comes with some neat software to customize your mouse with. The cool things like it glows orange and it can hit raging speeds of 1200 APM (actions per minute) and 1600 DPI!!!. If you like the color orange and you have $30 to spare sure why not. But for us pro gamers out there spend another $20 and you can find yourself a nice mouse with 5 or more buttons.
